DVC or SVC

the # of voice coils has nothing to do with the SQ, the # of voice coils is determinant on the ohm load that you want to place on your amplifer, you need to figure out what the ohm load of the voice coils are then figure out the optimal ohm load for the amplifer you are using, DVC are more versitale for multiple woofer setups

Denim, I'm going to have two 12" subs, and they're both going to be dual voice coil...

When I looked up the impedance on them it said:

Impedance: 2 Ohms or 8 Ohms, depending on wiring.

What's the best way to wire them? and what kind of specifc (2 or 4 channel) amp should I use?

for the most power out put is to find an amp that has its optimal power at 2ohms, and that would a perfect load with those subs, because if they are wired at 2ohms they will draw more power out of your amplifer

Or a monoblock amp that put's out that kind power at 4ohm or 1ohm. I take it the subs are dual 4's //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

So a jbl bp600.1 would work perfect right? How would you wired that to power two subs?

Or is it possible to get a jbl bp300.1 and wire it to 1 ohm? Someone on this forum told me that was possible.

Just like this my brother //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

EDIT : And yep the jbl will work. It would give you a little over 300w a sub. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

You could wire it to 1 ohm but you would still only get 300..jbls are wierd like that, go w/ the 600
