Kinda Old School
Useless story, to let you know. At least I warned you before you read all of this crap.
Kid pulls up just beating the hell out of his tin can that is his Monte Carlo. Naturally, I ask him what's he running. He pops the trunk to reveal two 15" Fosgate P1's sealed. He states to me that they are single 4 ohm drivers, and are on 800w.
He then tells me that he's getting this underrated PA amp that does over 3k rms at 12v(He was referring to PA300DB...).
He states to a friend that he'll have to be careful, that the P1's are going to have hard time handling over 1500w rms each, because they're rated for 750w rms at 4 ohms each(haha).
From there, he informed me that you can run two SVC 4ohm woofers at 1ohm on that PA and it'll beat the hell out of them. I called his bluff, so he called his brother who is certified MECP to clear up the situation. His brother agreed that it's easily done and that he does it all the time.
So my question - WHY HAVE ALL OF YOU FVCKERS BEEN LYING TO ME ABOUT OHMLOAD CONFIGURATIONS AND WIRING?(/sarcasm)
