looking to do exactly what it says above

going to upgrade the stock battery and am looking to add in a second battery by the amplifier

I don't know how to correctly setup or wire this

If there is a thread please point me there

I got the big 3 done (currently have the pos alt to pos battery disconned though but both grounds are still up)

i have an impala '07 with the stock 125amp alt

I had a 1 or 1.5f cap installed for a few weeks a long while back but that didn't help any and actually seemed to reduce my amps output (didn't hit anything near as hard thats for sure) //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

wire it just like you think you would... pos from front batt to back batt then ground from back batt to frame then run you amp right from the back batt wire the batts together with 1/0 for best results

gotta wait til i get paid then its off to walmart for 2 beefy maxx batteries for 84 bucks + taxes

then to track down some more cheap 0/1 ga - wire stuff gets costly

let me know how those maxx batts treat you i was thinking of getting one myself for the batt in the back somebody told me they are pretty good plus they have a nice 3 yr warranty
spent a few hours there chatting it up with a few workers from the auto dept - didn't make a purchase today though as i got another question

they had some decent deep cycle batts for kinda cheap (but no warranty...) 800 somthing cranking amps w/ 125amp hours for 85 bucks ++

are deep cycle batts fine as for use as the 2nd battery? kinda was upset with my electrical system when they tested out my AC Delco batt thats under the hood and it read at operating over 900 cranking amps and is rated for 700

still baffled at how much my lights dim at high volume - whats eating all my juice?? I got roughly an 800w rms amp (line is fused to 60amps), head unit isn't anything huge and i don't know what the stock amp is but it can't be anything huge either
