dumb question about ohms?

I am putting my buddies factory shaker 500 subs (8") for his mustang on a 250w alpine amp. the subs are 1.something ohms, the amp is a 2 ohms. Would it sound right if i hooked them up at 4 ohms? any advice would be greatly appreciated.

If 250W is the rating at 2 ohms, your subs would be seeing half that power on average when wired to a 4 ohm load...

UR SUB IS WHAT??? what does it say on the bottom of the sub?

The sub says a 1.3ohm i think I can't remember. Does anyone have a diagram of what the wiring is for 2ohms? I looked all over and the best help was crutchfield. the best that I could find that I thought would work is the 4ohm diagram. all others were at 1 and 8.
