dual alternators on 02 ram 1500 4.7?

My alt is an iraggi 225. Actually puts out right at 235 amps. Ive run ~8k watts off this alt without issues, so it should be plenty for you.
can i ask where ya got it? and i read somewhere that the stock alternator is not internally regulated, the trucks actually uses the computer as a regular so a higher amp alternator messes that all up, any truth to this?

and if your running 8k off a 225, i should be able to run 2500-3000 off a 200-225

No. Most cars, truck are controlled by the computer but they are only controlling the voltage of the Alt not the amps. Your still going to get the amps.

And I secound the excessive amerage. I have one running on my truck for the past 4 years now.

I got mine off ebay. Not sure if they still do that or not. But they did before excessive would put an add up and you just tell them make model so on so on.

I have a dodge dakota. 3.9... I bet we have the same stock alt.

no you dont, the 4.7 is a totally different alternator mounting. Your truck has a small case alt like this

they used that alt on a ton of different chrysler engines though. 2.2/2.5, 2.0/2.4, 3.9/5.2/5.9, ans some 3.0 and 3.3/3.8. The 4.7 has a different mounting design

O shoot I should of made it more clear. My bad. I was talking about AMPS. Not actual size, shape of alt. I went with an upgrade alt on the amps. Mine is a 136 amp too. But thanks for a picture of the alternator though.
