I was offered a great deal on a dual alternator bracket, and now have some questions for the installation
Ive never even upgraded an alternator, but Ive messed around with pretty much everything else, so...
on my car (92 caprice 350 tbi) there is a plug connector into the factory alternator, when I get the bracket and install the second one (another stocker) do i need to split the plug between the two of them?
I mean, do i need to splice the wiring so both othe the alternators have a live plug feeding into them from the ecu?
also, I just need to make a second run of power cable from the new alternator to the battery correct? just wire the new one in series to the battery along with the old one...?
