dual alt s10

Somewhat off topic, but still moderately relevant question. For wiring the second alternator, what is involved? Obviously there's the power wire to the battery, but what else? The factory unit has a plug that goes into it, do you have to make/buy an adapter to split that? Is there anything else needed for a dual alt setup? Considering doing this if I can find a cheap alt.
u can also go to http://www.missinglinkaudio.com/ and they have adapters that work great. u can raise ur voltage without hurting ur computer and stuff i think. i know steve meade had one for his 4 alts and he said it helped him...lol

those pics are on the link i posted the dumbass just didnt scroll down 3 posts //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif
he also doesnt have his A/C dumbass...lol so therefore i would have to take my A/C out for it to work...

Or even cheeper and just make a little plug for the one pin and jump to the other wire of the other alt. But nothing else is needed besides a longer belt and a little mode to the tenchner pully if you run them like mine.
Sorry, I'm not quite sure you you mean here. I know that I need a longer belt, to rework my tensioner pully, and the Power wire to the battery, what what did you mean by this:

i'm guessin he just meant that u would have to splice into the wiring harness for the alt....idk what he meant. lol

Is there any room to the right of the current position? If there's a couple inches, you MIGHT be able to scoot it over and squeeze one in to the left and slightly down. I'd make a template of the size of your alternator and see if you can fit it in. It would be tight, but it may just be doable.

i just remembered i still got my stock alternator. so i could use it and see if there is any room. kinda just stick it in and see if it would even fit. i really havent look at the distance between the alternator and a/c. i'm gonna give it some though and talk to some ppl bout makin me a bracket and see what they can do
