dual 4 voice coil @ 1ohm.

ohh got it thanks.

heres my dilemma. I have a 12'' dual4 D6 powered by a d6 1000.1 @ 2 ohms roughly 500 watts rms. I wanted to add on another 12'' D6 but with both at 2 ohms, it will be underpowered right?

Let me sort it out

You have a Diamond D6....dual 4ohm woofer on a Diamond D6 1000.1 amplifier, it's at 2ohms right now, correct?

Buy another Dual 4ohm Diamond D6 and then you can run that amplifier at 1ohm

correct. the lowest you can wire DVC 4ohm subs is 2ohms. If you have two 12's it'll be 8-ohms which can be wired to 4ohms. so whatever your Amp pushes at 4ohms will be what power your getting which is probably WAY less. Maybe 500w each speaker if that
wtf are you talkin about.

Incorrect. The D6 1000.1 is 1000w rms at 1ohm.

Two Dual 4 Diamond D6's is **** he needs.

If you want another sub, OP, then you need to buy another Dual 4 Diamond D6 and have the amp wired to a 1ohm load

Woot.
