What this means is that the subwoofer you have has two voice coils and each one has a nominal impedence of 4 Ohms.i have a ma audio 10 sub that says dual 4ohm what is this?
Not only can you hook them up together but you need to hook them up together (whether it be in parallel or in series) Only using one voice coil rather than both will lead to premature driver failure.can you hook them up together or are they there for just options you pick the side you want.
and lose half the poweri have an alpine 450 5ch. amp. 50x4+200x1 and from what ive read and heard these are not 2ohm stable. so the best thing would be to wire it to 8ohms.thanks
Only if the sub would perform optimally with 100w.....which is doubtful.i have an alpine 450 5ch. amp. 50x4+200x1 and from what ive read and heard these are not 2ohm stable. so the best thing would be to wire it to 8ohms.thanks
