Dual 2ohm coil, 2ohm mono amp?

im not sure if i have this all right, but im gonna throw a 12" type R in my trunk, and im wondering if i need a 2ohm or a 4ohm amp if the woofer is daul 2ohm voice coils.

You can wire that up to either 1 ohm or 4 ohm's. So you will want to look for an amp at your wattage at 4 ohms or an amp that can put out your wattage at 1 ohm.
