dual 12" type R

Its been awhile since i logged on but i finally got a new car, 1995 eagle talon tsi awd. I still have my 12" type R with an Alpine MRP-M650 amp but i havnt put it in the car yet. I put in my alpine deck and 2 6.5" memphis speakers up front along with 2 6x9" memphis speakers in the rear. I have a 340 or 360 watt (i cant remember) alpine amp for these which will be going in tomorrow. The car has a 75 amp alternator stock so i bought a 130amp whcih will go in next week along with my type r. I want to know if i could run a second type r or if i would need a bigger alternator? if i need a bigger one where should i buy it from?

well a car needs about 40 amps and then i would just go buy the fuses on the amps.

those two amps will draw 120 amps max, so i would say get a bigger alt,

I was told that since my car has under drive pullies and im pretty close to 300hp that it will draw alot of power. Can i run my single 12"?

60+40 = 100 and you have 130

so yes

i bet you could hook two of those amps up and just dont have your high beems or like AC on when you have it turned up like 75% or more

Well remember, an amp doesnt draw the max current constantly. It will hardley ever be drawing the current that the fuse is rated at, so i think you should be fine.

60+40 im guessing = car + mono amp

right?

What about

car+mono amp+4 channel speaker amp?

I wont have my volume at max, just i am going crazy without my type R

and are you sure my car only draws 40 amps?

FYI i have an optima red top in the car. i also have 2 autozone batteries in the garage.lol
