What sub? I'm going to guess that 1.4ohm is the DCR, which means each coil would have a 2ohm nominal load, which means 1ohm and 4ohm are the wiring options.......

Don't know about the DD...but the MT's coils have a DCR of 1.4ohm, not a nominal impedance of 1.4ohm. Why list the DCR and not the nominal you ask? Well, because if you are looking at getting an MT, chances are it will be an SPL competition sub...and SPL competitors don't care about nominal impedance, only about the impedance at the frequency they burp at....which, as you know, is going to vary with box, frequency, etc etc.

im not really agreeing with ya on a few things...

and the "dual 2" from re is actually 2.4 or 2.6 iirc and the "dual 4" is like 2.8...pretty sure the trf's/shocker subs come/came in 1.4 as well..

MMATS JUGGERNAUTS also come in Dual 1.4 ohm coils it the only coil config they offer.
