Opened up my MB Quart DSC2000.1 today to get a gut shot. Ripped the stickers :/ oh well. Onto the sexiness.

Feel free to discuss.

I really wish Quart hadn't done away with this amp. They now want to be seen as a SQ oriented brand. OK fine but, obviously the market is there for this amp. Why not give the market what it wants?

i asked them why they don't make something for a replacement for this. they told me they didn't sell very good.

I have a dSC1500 and love it for what it is. They look nicer than other cheap amps also.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I think the power level of the DSC2000.1d was its most appealing feature(at very reasonable cost). Plus, it actually does that number and maybe alittle more.

It's funny, I traded emails witha MB Quart rep just when the new Onyx series was announced and asked if they were planning a ONX2000.1d and he said "yes, it is in the design stage currently and will be released later this year". That was last year by the way. So, apparently there was a plan to offer a ONX2000.1d but, that plan was killed. Just about 2 months ago I asked another Quart rep what happened and he said they (Quart) wanted to be known as a SQ brand now and the DSC2000.1d series level didn't sell well enough. When I pointed out that they are still in high demand on forums such as this, he didn't seem to want to discuss the subject any further so I dropped it.

its a $500 or $600 amp retail, that's the issue. they gotta compete with audiopipe and all that shiz not only by the customers but also the shops that have to decide on what they carry. If you make the same off an audiopipe compared to the mbquart yet it costs less your customers are generally gonna go audiopipe. This is what happened, even its sister brand hifonics was hurting the discus sales.

In that case, they should release it for around $350+ (the DSC2000) and just say "F it" to all the people who want Quart quality at Audiopoop prices. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Mb quart was something besides SQ oriented at one point? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

^^ good point. The German made MB Quart components are some of the best speakers I've ever heard. If they continue making products of that caliber, they can get people to hand over their hard earned cash. I thought the "Q" series was supposed to be the new DSC?
