Thats funny you say that, considering im a certified SCT tuner and tune cars all the time for economy and race tunes and yes it does work. On average a 3-6 more mpg increase will be seen with chip alone. Its dangerous but it actually works. I noticed it the other day. I was behind a QX56 and as soon as I changed lanes, it felt like my car had launched a small drag chute.

When I took out my 47+ pound XXX and my 90+ pound box. I gained gas milage. Less weight, so everyone throw away your systems and gain more MPG.

yeah i heard alot about this, and trying it out myself, seems like it really does save gas. But what ^^ they drive realllllllllllllllly slow...

If you have an Automatic, don't try to coast. It's more dangerous for you and it does wear and tear. 5sp, sure coast all day.

Tires inflated properly, in my car I got better MPG with the windows up and ac on. Thats on the freeway, no stop and go. Windows down is almost significanlty less equivalent to having a drag chute, but it will affect how much your car has to work.

CAI, Chip and exhaust sounds susp. I guess it depends on the car. If the chip is efficient, then it could adjust AF and deliver a proper mix. If untuned, you are more than likely to run rich therefore wasting gas.

Or you could buy an Echo.
