Anyone got any secrets or tips that you would like to share on how to save gas???

When driving, then setting your transmission to neutral, will it save gas?

I think if you do that the car will slow down to a stop. If you are talking about a red lights then I think the additional wear and tear will hurt any gas savings it may provide.

i'm not sure on the neutral thing, but also, not constantly hammering your gas or quick acceleration. and turn your car off if you have to sit somewhere and wait, or if you go in a convenient store (some people leave their cars running).

try to maintain constant rpms and not being so aggressive with the gas

make sure your tire pressure is right where it needs to be

clean injectors once in a while, don't go faster than 60 on the highway and you'll be fine

When I took out my 47+ pound XXX and my 90+ pound box. I gained gas milage. Less weight, so everyone throw away your systems and gain more MPG.

wow... i know that's less weight but i didn't think 150lbs would makes a difference, i guess with a sedan it would.. not much for a suv i wouldn't think

Get a chip for your car, and a CAI, exhaust. That will actually help. What kind of car do you have?

Check for proper tire inflation... Keep your oil changed.... Keep you're car waxed... Drive down hill....

With proper settings on the chip, and the right parts, how does increasing the efficiency of your motor (while driving properly as well) not increase fuel economy?

I say efficiency because as we know, the motor is one big air pump, the easier it can consume and expell the air would make less energy wasted.

Its a fact that clean car is a better tunning car, so make sur ethe engine is clean

Basically the cheapest way to save gas in a nutshell is to drive slowly, no quick acceleration, and maintain a constant speed.

Also checking your air filter and changing your oil is always a good addition. That fuil stuff you put in your gas is good too, you know the stuff that comes in like a little bottle that cost about 4 dollars....not sure the name of it!
