Driving alone with restricted

I still have my restricted license because my birth papers were ****ed up when i was born, hence i was born in cuba. Now, i heard that with progressive insurance you can drive TO and FROM school only and TO and FROM work, is this true? My though is an isurance versus the LAW, so why would my friend tell me that they told his brother that he can drive TO and FROM school and TO and FROM work with his restricted?

If you mean your permit, then no. You cannot drive to and from work or school, even though it seems like that is what it says on the back of the permit.

What it means is that you cannot drive past 11 (i think it is 11) even if you are with a parent, unless you are going to or from work, with a parent or someone 21+.

progressive sucks big dick. the dude who hit me had progressive and he was cited on scene of the wreck for wreckless driving and i am still fighting with them. they are dumb dousche bags that dont get it. i have allstate. never had any problem with them. they are always good to my family too. we had over $200,000 claim once and it was no big deal, nothing happened to us at all as far as the rate and insurance plan.

It is "The Law", but most cops will just give you an unwritten warning about it, or just let you go.

I have been pulled over about 5 times, and I still have my permit; and each time I was in my work uniform (I dont drive to school.) Three of the five times it was the same cop, and he was just checkin to make sure I was comming/going from work. I was only pulled over because each time I was going about 5mph over the speed limit, because my speedometer needs to be calubrated due to the rims; and they cops had nothing better to do. But I have only been issued warnings, never a written warning, only verbal. And now I have a couple cop buddies.... if thats a good thing //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif

There is no written warning, the wrriten warning is you get taken to court then you get your license taken away and you have to wait another year to get your license, i dont see how that can be a warning lol. I wish the cops down here would be like them...

No.. There is just thing as a written warning for traffic violations, it goes into the computer and if you are caught with the same offense within a certain amount of time, then you get double the ticket.

Im just saying that if you get cought driving alone with the permit then you will have it taken away and will have to wait another year to get your license, thats the warning, there is no writen warning that goes into the computer and if you get cought again then they take it away, no sir.

No, no no.. Cops have the authority to do as they see fit for the crime, they can issue a written warning. I have a friend that had this done, and the cop followed him home.

The law about is you get a ticket on your permit, and have to wait another year to get your license, if never followed through with. Buddy of mine hit someone in a mall parking lot, went to court for it and everthing, even lied to the cop about his mom being in the car (cop found out it was a lie) and the judge dropped the all the charges, except for a couple of tickets. Nothing happened with his permit/license though...

They also impound your car and your parents will have to pick it up for a small fee, if you kno what i mean.

Maybe if you are smuggling a key of coke in your gas tank.. They will NEVER impound your car for driving on a permit, you need to brush up on laws, and learn how cops work.

The only way they can impound your car is if they have a reason to take you to jail, and you can not find someone to pick it up at that location, or they want to be dicks. They can not impound your car for a simple moving violation.
