I thought at least 90 percent of people knew how to drive a stick. I've read a few posts overtime about people who can't drive stick and I have had some friends ask to drive my car but when they're all like " What do I do with the third pedal" //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gif

Just curious to see what percentage this forum is

i have an auto and a manual car now, but i was strictly manual until 3 years ago, auto is too boring

when i was 18 my dad brought home a manual acura integra, handed me the keys and told me to go learn how to drive it. i started it up and drove all over town, the only problem i ever had was not hauling *** in reverse for the first week, but that goes away when you learn the friction point of the clutch

Yeah. I learned on a world war II jeep at my friends house when I was 14. I can't see myself ever buying an auto again

i can drive one, but i don't own one. i want to buy a manual beater car or truck to roll around in
Yeah, I am also looking for a beater car for the summer once I sell my el camino and save up money for another car. Honda's seam ideal because they last forever and good gas mileage but trucks have their advantages

My parents are gay and won't let my buy a manual till i leave in case thye have to rive it cuz they can't. But I've invested too much into my exploder now to want to sell it. I learned when I was 16 on my uncles Turboed VW Passat. Was a very fun car to drive once I learned, very smooth.

yepp, its hard to choose, especially when you live in the country and need to haul stuff. but then if you get the truck people will always ask for your help when they need to move...

how the **** your parents not know how to drive a manual?

and i learned to drive on an old manual vw beetle that my dad rebuilt and suped up. it was pretty fun... pretty fast too. then i got my 93 nissan pickup that I had until just a few months ago... now i got automatic and it IS boring //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

lol that's what I'm talking about. I think it should be mandatory to take the drivers test in a manual.

I got one a week ago //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif... so I can drive one...but I am definitely not the best at it yet. I do alright though.

driving a stick is almost as good as ***!

lol. I think racing at the tracks is almost as good as ***. Especially when you win in a car you bought yourself and you just beat some rich kid who had his daddy buy his
