driver side door mirror removal on a f-150

My dad has a F-150, and his driver side mirror is cracked, he wants to know how to remove the mirror without causin any damage or goin to a shop and payin. So if any one knows how to remove a Mirror on a F-150, btw the mirror is NOT motorized.

i kno we gotta get a replacement, but we gotta get the original out first to put the new one in

take door pannel off. should expose screws for teh mirror.

make sure not to damage your door clips..and be careful taking them off. if they have any tension on them and you pop them..they go flyin and you never find them again. do it all the time at work (autobody repair)

other than that, unscrew the 3 screws holdin it on and take a razorblade to the seamsealer if theres any on there..but be sure to reapply it..

iirc. you lift up and out on the door pannel. no clips.

so in order to take the driver side door mirror off, we gotta take the door panel inside the truck to expose the skrews? I dont wanna take the hole assembly off, just the actual mirror itsself, the part thats cracked to get a new mirror on there

thats almost exactly what the diagrams we use look like

use that youll be good..but dont skip steps..
