wow didnt know the altimas had a ka24. Yea they also had 280zx's. Some sweet cars, just like the 300zx turbo inline 6 or maybe they were a v-6 i frget but they were clean and fast. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Oh yea... I forgot to mention that i found out that since Iam a student, they do not withhold anything out of my taxes, and everything I paid, I should get back, Social Security and all, so instead of $450 it should be like $762 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif
You sure about that? I doubt your getting SS back...i never have as a student.

im in the same position. my truck when i drive it now it shifts fine when cold but then when it starts warming up shift around 2,500-3000rpms and cold like 1800 rpms i really dont know if thats normal but i doubt it...

i changed the tranmission oil and filter and engine oil and spark plugs and mass air flow sensor. it was also shaking a little the shaking is gone just the ****** still seems like its slipping. dunno if anyone else who owns a 5.0 explorer where theirs shift at i asked a friend he said his shifts at 2 grand most of the time.

i was gonna buy me my second memphis 4kw with all the money im spending but now im gonna have to wait it out. cause if i spend it and the ****** blows what good is an amp wihtout a running car. good thing tax returns are around the corner //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif should be getting close to 4 grand this year and the ****** cost 800$ rebuilt installed through a freind.

Iam pretty sure, I was kinda leary about it, but my friends at school told me that they got back their SS and and everything, so I figure I should get it back too.

Oh yea, they made 260z's too

Its a konck sensor...40 bucks, big deal.

I dont see an EGR being more than 80 either. Neither should be hard to replace either. Get a Haynes manual, they're worth their weight in gold.

LMAO i would like to know where you can find a knock sensor for my car for $40. I will agree that the EGR solenoid should not be that expensive, however the EGR valve is $130 at Autozone

dude. seriously time for a new car. you are better of buying a new used car man. your nuts if you are thinking about dropping anything over $300 into a car that old?
If I bought a new used car, I would just be facing the same problem within a few years, wheras I could keep this car, get the ****** rebuilt at the end of the summer and it will be almost new. And when I get my taxes back next year, I will drop a new engine in it. I could get this car back to brand new condition for less than $1600. Why would I spend almost that on a used car.

Well, the knock sensor will show up as a problem on the ECU if there is a problem with the EGR, so I think I will replace the EGR solenoid since it is the cheapest and easiest to fix, and if I still have a problem, I will buy the knock sensor. I can't even find the solenoid I need anywhere online or at local stores, so I may have to buy it used.

Yeah go junkyarding, if you find a ghetto one stuff will be cheap. Or drive around and look for broken down cars sitting in yards and see if you can buy a part cheap. Also find what years and different models use the same KS.

Yeah, if I still lived in florida junkyarding would be easy and most likeley find what I need, however I live in kentucky, we have one junkyard in the town and they usually only have domestics and pickups from the early 80's late 70's. Can't find nothing here. My altima is exactly the same as 93-97 models, and has mostly same parts from 93-2001 I believe.
