Dreams Shot down...

im so glad my father is a master technician, and that my truck is new, dont have to deal with excessive prices and get it fixed for parts cost( which i get discounted anyways haha) **** to hear tho, eventually youll get a system.

Has it done this before? Because I can't figure out why you'd redline it in neutral, and expect it to shift.
Because I figured the ****** was confused and was in drive instead of neutral. My ****** likes to make my engine redline. My engine is setup to take the high revs without damaging it.

LOL!

Its a nissan, even if there was such a thing as you speak of, it sure as hell wouldnt be in that plastic built motor

You say things like this, and wonder why you are haveing to fix the ****** and have the engine rebuilt... besides the fact that its a nissan... and 11 years old... and beat like a dirty *****

270,000 on an 11 year old car and you are gonna dump money into a new ****** AND engine eventually?? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/waycrazy.gif.f4a380c3f94043939fd369defd9e6be2.gif
i have 188,000 on my Z and i'm going to put a new motor, ******, and rear-end in it:naughty:

what nissan forums do u go to? have you taken it to a shop for diagnosis

no its not, its an altima, altimas are family cars, family cars aren't made for speed, they are made for comfort, no motor/****** is built to redline, why do u think in a normally funtioning auto ***** it shifts 500-600rpms before redline?

I dont know why you say this, i had a 1989 240sx before my ranger and ran like achamp. Only problems were normal lie water pump, and i think that was it. Nissans are good cars

^^ nissans are solid. my neighbor's got a 240z he found at a junk yard (//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/mad.gif.c18f003ab0ef8a0d9c27ca78d77a6392.gif ) with something like 250k on it. he bought it for like 500 bucks, restored it, and it still has the same motor. no shit, it's that copper kinda color which = BADASS.

Obviously you know nothing about nissans. My dad has an 82 nissan pickup with miles about to roll over back to zero. He only had his ****** rebuilt once. Engine has never been rebuilt. Only the minor problems, and just regular tune ups. It still runs and he drives it to work.

As for me saying that it is setup to handle a redline, I didnt mean that I put anything into it, I just meant that it can take a red line. I have had it maxed out several times, and nothing has happened. I guarantee you that I can go and hold it steady at 7000 RPM's and it would do shit to the engine. If I drove my car a little less harder than I have, the ****** may have lasted another 250,000 miles.

At least some people know what they are talking about when it comes down to cars.

well actually lemans, do you mean a 240SX? My engine in my car is the exact same engine that is in a 240SX, well...except mine is the FWD version.

good thing my dad is a mechanic and he has been in the business for about 17 yrs now so i am good to go //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

Oh yea... I forgot to mention that i found out that since Iam a student, they do not withhold anything out of my taxes, and everything I paid, I should get back, Social Security and all, so instead of $450 it should be like $762 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

So my dreams may not be shot down after all. I also found out that the knock sensor may still be good, but the EGR valve soleniod is bad.

The ****** seems to be running better. And they say it should hold out until atleast the end of the summer if I drive it normally, nothing hard. So I should be all set to go, and I can get a system after all.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Nah he meant 240z, back in the day when nissan was datsun and just turned nissan they have 240z's BEAUTIFUL cars. And what kind of car do you have? I dont recall the KA24(240sx motor) In any other car except for the nissan hardbody truck.
