Drawing 2 much power...kinda worried

I have an 02 sivlerado and it seems that my hifonics bx1800d amp is killing my alternator. My lights almost dim all the way about when the bass hits. I am drawing 1800 watts with the amp. What could I do to help my alternator? Do I just need to upgrade my alt. or is there another solution to this problem? Would a batcap work?

Tried searching on big 3. I couldnt find much info other than its a kit or some sort.
