So i was looking at the specs and features of the Alpine 9886 and the Alpine 9887. No complaining but why is the 86 less then the 97 when the 86 has the same specs and comes with the High speed ipod Adp? Is there something im not noticing?

The 9887 has built in time alignment where the 9886 requires an external module which forces you to use the Imprint equalization.

This is where i got the information from, i didnt see much of a difference other then the 9886 looks alot more appealing. thats why i came here and asked why the 97 is about 60 more bucks then the 96

The 9887 has all the crossover, time alginment and EQ functionality that the good '03 model Alpines had built in. It's actually one of the better decks out right now for built in tuning capabilites. The 9886 and lower models have pretty much nothing in regards to crossover, EQ and time alginment without the IMPRINT. If you need those things, go with the 9887, if you don't save the $60.
