Downloading backgrounds to W505?

Is there a trick to it? I downloaded custom backgrounds onto my 200 and 205 without any problems. I just saved the file to a disc and then put the disc into the head unit.

My 505 is giving me "disc error". I have tried backgrounds directly from Alpine's site and also custom backgrounds from that website where the guy makes a ton of them. Neither work. I have tried putting multiple discs, thinking I may have a bad one. Nothing.

I've seen pics on the internet with custom backgrounds, and Alpine's site says that they are compatible with the W505.

Anyone here done it? Was there anything special you had to do? I figure it might be a setting or something.

Makes me wonder if something is wrong with my head unit. Everything else works okay.
