put some 5" bolts on my subbox, now i got my 12" L7 downfiring.

I had two 10" DALUMs firing backwards in my truck. Did the same thing and switched to downfiring and it is amazing the difference in not only the sound, but the "feel" of the bass. It pounded much tighter and harder....although makes any rattles you had before all the more apparent too...

I am kinda curious what you mean about adding 5" bolts. You mean you just put them on the bottom and use the bolts as "feet" to hold the subs up off the ground?
