yes unless you plan on some major changes to your electrical system...which is gunna cost you alot you might not want to go so big...why not just 2 18'' sx anything in the sort would be impressive (which it sounds like you want to for school)...hell dave himself perfers sx's to mt's when competing!
That would be kinda like the L7s I had before. I want to upgrade.

Surface Area 1(18x18) > 2(12X12)
Exactly, especially if room isn't an issue... I would give the 18 its recommended box, double the port area and wang away...

Tune relatively low if you want sound qualilty (nothing above 35 for an sx lol)

For daily LOUD, 38htz+

If you have the power, can't beat it (except the price, ouch!)

do you have thoes electrical upgrades or are you going to be getting them, becasue it will cost a pretty penny, what all do you have now and what do you need left.

A solo x 18 would wang like no other, have you not seen that video with the 18 on 2200RMS, the whole car rattles including the tires, and you want more then that like 2 or them get real:eyebrow:. There is no way you would be able to sit in it daily and I am sure if you built a really good box for one solo x it would do some pretty nice numbers, and not many have a daily 18 solo x. Plus one sub is more impressive then 2 or 4 when someone asks you what you have in there and then you tell them, they are shocked.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/naughty.gif.94359f346c0f1259df8038d60b41863e.gif Why spend all that money on 4 subs or 2 when you can buy one really good one(SPL), sounds like your after SPL to me.

After doing a lot of thinking and searching I have finally come down to four subwoofers. My first setup was two 15" Kicker L7s. It was loud and did me good, loved it. However its a common setup around here, considering I was one out of four people in just my school that had two 15" L7s. I also want some thing louder. I had a very good experience with Kicker.
It came down between Kicker and RE Audio (both very good brands, imo). I wanted to originally run two 18" MTs and I was going to. Problem is that I called RE Audio today and they told me that they are on back order of MTs to try again in 6-8 weeks!! I was like //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif
If it was me I would wait the 6-8 Weeks and get what you want, but then again I wouldn't care who is louder either...

In 3 months from now you will be happy that you waited or you will have settled and with your immediate 6-8 week satisfaction behind you.

Right. I usually wait but the thing is I can get two 18" MTs right now, from some one I trust.
