After doing a lot of thinking and searching I have finally come down to four subwoofers. My first setup was two 15" Kicker L7s. It was loud and did me good, loved it. However its a common setup around here, considering I was one out of four people in just my school that had two 15" L7s. I also want some thing louder. I had a very good experience with Kicker.
It came down between Kicker and RE Audio (both very good brands, imo). I wanted to originally run two 18" MTs and I was going to. Problem is that I called RE Audio today and they told me that they are on back order of MTs to try again in 6-8 weeks!! I was like //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/crap.gif.7f4dd41e3e9b23fbd170a1ee6f65cecc.gif I asked him how much for four SXs and he told me $320, shipped (each).
This is what im looking for, maybe it helps you decide which sub to pick. I will have two boxes for which ever sub I get, since everybody tells me not to do a port plug. One box will be for daily driving, another one strictly for SPL. I want a pair of subs that can be used for daily driving but also be great in SPL.
If I get the two 12" Solo Xs or four 18" SX, they will be ran off two Orion 2500ds.
The 18" Solo X, two orions also. If I get two 18" MTs, im still undecided on what amp.
Easiest for me to afford will be the two 12" Solo Xs. I don't mind waiting for more money and getting some thing better though (if thats what you guys suggest).
Anyways, enough said. Give me some suggestions.
*EDIT* Don't vote on the four 18" SXs, I don't have enough space for them, therefor I decided to not get them
