doubling box and port lenth

me and a friend are arguing about if you double your box size and port length it will change things and it will get louder ...... is this true?

Um... if you keep the port area the same and you double port length and box volume, you will drastically lower tuning and it will probably not peak higher but should play much lower. This all depends on the driver used and what enclosure you're starting with too.
