What situation would someone prefer to wire two subs to double the OHM instead of cutting the impedance in half? Was just answering someone else's question and started to wonder that

You would wire a dual one ohm sub for a 2 ohm impedance to match a particulars amps ideal load impedance.

Or wire two dual one ohm subs for two ohm. Then parallel those together to get final impedance of one ohm.

or for instance like me, i have two dual 2 ohm subs and my amp is 2 ohm stable. So i have to wire each sub in parralel to get 4 ohms each then with them together down to 2 ohms.
