When you finally get around to scoping your new sub stage and relize you dont have nearly enough battery reserve to run it full tilt for more then 45 seconds without hard voltage clipping!! And your oh so perfect front stage is getting broken up now!! When does it ever stop? I'm waiting on XS to email me back with thier recommendations but I'm thinking 1 3100 will do it for now till the M4a goes in, then add 1 more 3100. And swapping out my oh so perfect front stage with some DD VOs 6.5 and B1tweeter, keeping the midbass the way it is. I love the midbass still.

I dont think its the voltage, the slash amps are supposed to be good down to 11.5 at least

Oh, duh...lol. You meant broken up as in breaking up a happy family to use new/different equipment. I thought you meant broken up like distortion was setting in. Derrr

It still needs more reserve but I think I found the root cause. I set the gains off a CD, the Ipod side has the media Xpander on so it was over driving the signal a bit

It's totally fixed. Hold high 13s full tilt unless I play some bass mekanik type stuff, then it's still clean but drops to the 12s. I'm still going to add a 3100 before the M4a goes in. I think the 9500s will like the extra power and ill have some headroom for daily listening.
