Doing a budget set up

i plan on getting 2 12" type e's and i need a pretty decent amp that will push 'em. i want to wire the subs down to 2ohms so i can get the most out of em. im trying not to spend no more than 150 on the amp.

any suggestions????????? thanks

It will be cheaper to get an amp that pushes 500 watts at 2 ohms. Because you could also get a 2 channel amp and bridge it.

You won't notice a difference in sound quality between running at 2 ohms or two channels at 4 ohms. The only difference is that the amp might run hotter at 2 ohms. But it depends on the amp. Just make sure it's 2 ohm stable and you're good.

No offense but you can do way better than the E's and price on that crunch.

Hit up ebay and get that crunch amp and find the cheapest store seller on there, then browse through his subs and get a good pair to save on shipping.

none taken, and you got a point there. i was already lookin through ebay for the cheapest amp. i didnt think to look through their store for subs.

I'd go crunch. As far as mono or 2 channel, if you have the adequate electrical you might want to get techy and check into the damping levels of some class A/B amps. If you are short on space or electrical, presenting a lower impedance to a class D might be the best route. Crunch are cheap and decent amplifiers just overrated power wise.

Edit: Just read in another post that they are overrated?? First I heard of it but I've only had zeus and brutus HF to test so maybe!
