does this type of sound ner work?

Hey guys got a question i want to do sound ner to my car just to stop all the ratteling now i looked at dynamat and other products but that stuff is like $100 and over for a trunk kit. I was walking through an auto store today and i came apon these to products Dupli - Color professional undercoat and sound eliminator and the other one is 3m professional grad rubberized undercoating sound ner both in a spray can has anyone ever used either one of these before do any of them work or would it just be better to save up for a trunk kit????
