Does this sound right??

It is for an HDC318 with splaudio recone, 2k rms. How does it look here.

My outside dimensions are 36"w X 20.75" H X 23" L. It will have 2 6" PVC ports 15" long each for a tuning of 33hz. Sound good? This will give me ~4-4.5" of clearance from ports to back wall. Sub will be facing up.

This should give me 7.9 before displacements, 7.4 with port displaced and about 7 with the sub in.

Any input here?

using your outside measurments with .75 mdf. I get a net of 7.45cu/ft with ports and sub in, a box tune of 31hz, 7.59sq/in of port per cube which is on the low side. me personally I would aim for 14sq/in of port or more per cube.

@pro\-rabbit ; said I shouldn't have a problem with 2 6" ports. Thanks for the input tho. I may go to 3 of them though.

OKAY, should I do 4 4" ports or 2 6" ports?

With those ports the fewer the better. So if you can fewer larger ports that is ideal.

You will be just fine with 2 6" ports, you can 3 if you have the room and the ability to get the length required for your desired tuning.

Port area used for slot ports and round ports are not the same.

I can do 3 but that brings each length around 30" I believe... Feel like I may get port noise with that much length..
