I put my 240sx on craigslist yesterday, and today I get this email saying

i was going through the classified ads today when i came accross your advert concerning the item for sale am interested in buying so please let me know the present condition including your last price you are willing to sell, Get me all this asap.

Sounded aight, but the grammar is horrible. That seems to be a common thing these days, which is why I cant tell right off hand. So I replied how low I could go and why, and got this back

1000usd is great.i will love to do bussiness with you .I have been looking all around South dakota for this kinda car but i couldnt get it.Due to the fact that they live a country life here things like this is hard to get.I was just tranfered here so i need a good car.I have my own movers that will come move it from ur door down to mine.If you really wanna sell to me i want you to remove the Ads from craigslist.I will mail u a certified check as a mode of payment and i want you to provide me ur full name and adress with correct postal code with ur phone #.cell and land.If you are okay with this write back soon.

The whole "1000usd" and the "certified check" seems fishy. Should I reply back and see how it goes, or what?

its a scam the check will be fake or stolen, dont waste your time.

Yes, it's a scam. It will be a fake MO or be for more than what you are asking. She will ask you to send her most of the extra and let you keep the rest. You will then be out of a car and $$. The fake MO's that they make now are very hard for the banks to catch. It may take them a month to figure it out but you will be responsible for it.

The car doesnt run. It has 90% of the rebuild pieces, just needs a timing chain. Needs a driver's fender as well.

Wow i am a regular craigslister and one thing to know is that when email doesnt origionally state what it is you are trying to sell and the word ADVERT shows up. It is a scam. The reason they want all your info is so they can sell it to spammers and telemarketer. It is an automated deal and then once you send your email they have your email address. Thats when some really sends u an email about the actual item. Good thing to know is to not ship on craigslist.

oh hellz no. The car doesnt run. Once its sold, its leaving the property one way or another.
