how to make an exicutable work for a game?

well i jus instaled warcraft 3 but my disk is to scratched up to play. So im trying to run an exicutable to make it play. But i cant figure out how to make it work.

I download it, unzip it, and toss it in the the warcraft 3 program file but it doesnt work.

What am i doing wrong? Does it need to be in a certain folder?
