Does this make sense?

On my audiopipe amp the frequency control is confusing because the numbers go up going clockwise but the knob turns counterclockwise and I have no idea what frequency im actually setting the amp to. I know for a sub it should be 80hz but is there an actual way to test what frequency its at? Also, does this sound right that the control goes counterclockwise, i wouldnt know because this is my first amp.

the knob will turn both clockwise and counterclockwise. it will stop at each end. cheap amps have poorly labeled adjustments. set it where you think it sounds the best.
