Does this PowerAcoustik 5500 put out the 3200rms @ 1ohm that it claims?

It is fused at 150amps (5 30amp fuses)...

and i thought that amperage x voltage = watts/power right?

ok lol, i didnt think so... my sundown 1500 is fused more than that lol. plus the poweracoustik ONLY has 4awg power/ground inputs!!!

It would have to have 21.3volts at 100% efficiency to get the 3200 watts ( 21.3 X 150 = 3200 ) right?

If you bought an item from Indoaudio it will do 0 watts @ 0 ohm because you wouldnt get it shipped to you lol.

lol but like i said before, the amps were not bought online. They have already been installed (last night)... I am just wondering how I can figure the true wattage of these things.

the formula is (voltage x amperage = watts) right? assuming it is 100% efficient watts, otherwise multiply the answer (watts) times the efficiency (like 75%, 0.75) right? 14.4 X 150 = 2160watts at 100% eff., so at 75% eff.. 2160 x .75 = 1620 watts. Do I have this right?

Provided that is actual maximum current draw and actual efficiency, then yes that is how it would be calculated.

The only way to know the real wattage is to measure it.
