sorry to bring up an old thread but i have a similiar situation. i want to have two 15's in a vented enlcosure. my trunk can not fit a normal box shape enlcosure to house both of them. but if i was able to utelize the spare tire well for more airspace i would be able to meet the requirements. what i am wanting to do is build a fiberglassed bottom with mdf top sides and bottom and then to have it a vented enlcosure. any help would be great.

yes you can fiberglass the spare tire well for added air space that your enclosure requires, be sure that the fiberglass area is very thick and strong when finished, with 2 15's there will be a lot of pressure and flexing will occur in the fiberglassed portion.
