Hi, i'm thinking of switching fro my cda-9825 head unit to the cda-9855 with the 7 channel eq , 4 volts from 2 and alot more features. will this add power to my amps i have the mrv-f345 along with mrd-m1005 and type x running off that. will my sub get louder not just from the 4 volts but just from having a eq when right now i dont have an eq. please help.

yes it will be a difference dunno how big because i don't know how you are going to utilize the HU. if you were to say get an active frontstage then yes, it will make a big difference but not quite sure how you will utilize the HUs capabilities? what exactly do you need to control the bass better?

i just switched my cda-9825 out with a cda-9831 and i can tell a big difference. Also the 9825 can't play mp3's. it didn't make my system louder, but it does sound alot cleaner and i can adjust the eq to sound better. The cda-9831 is a big upgrade over the 9825. I would take a 9830,9831,9833,9835 over any new alpine deck. i do not like glide touch and the new ones have less features for the same price
