I use 9 dollar scosche rca's from walmart and they work just fine. I see no need to buy more expensive ones when their will be no difference.
I used rca's that came with a vcr for awhile too.

the main reason why i bought them so expensive was for the "shielding" being that the cheap vcr cable i was using was causing a static noise because of the way the rca had to be ran from one amp to another. i was hoping that the rca would eliminate the noise and such but in the end i couldn't even use it. i ended up having to ghetto run the vcr rca so i didn't have any static noise from the amps.

Only noise I hear is from either a crappy radio station or a CD whos recording already had noise in it.
