its true they are under rated my w0 12'' took 40 gazillion watts@ 20 hz before it gets stinky.....yum voice coil smell

Yes.......with a receipt showing it was purchased from an authorized dealer.

Be ready to bend over even if you qualify.

They really would rather their loyal customers give up and buy a new one (at full list price), so they dont cut them any kind of a deal.

Sounds like they should sell JL at german car dealerships!

If you break the sub, they just don't want you owning their products..period. You're basically THEIR customer.

if i blew my 13w7 i'd just look for another sub. the cost of a recone isn't worth it imo.

For what they charge, they'd better. Don't get me wrong, I love most German cars, but for the cost to buy and maintain one I could almost trade in a HiPo domestic every time it needed an oil change and come out ahead of the German car financially.

I never said they didn't perform. I was merely referring to the dealership/owners experience.

Sadly the recone parts cost JL like $60 and they'd rather screw people over then just sell em a damn recone kit.

Im surprised someone hasnt tried to cash in on reconing them with other parts, but I guess that would degrade the resell price.
