Does it matter which wires go where?

I connected the amp to the hu but i havent actually connected it, i just ran the cables thru, now theyre stickin out the hu, thats 4 wires, does it matter which speaker wires they splice into?

You should check what is what if you want to do it right, if you mix up the left, right speaker cables I believe you don't get good sound coming out of them, I guess they will sound muted or distorted.

try reading the manual, or look up wiring codes for you type of car.
