If you really want that, just put your windows down. Imo, $250 is better spent on sound deadening than a sound violation ticket.i might add some sound deadening but i have heard of people who add too much and end up sealing in the trunk itself and can't hear much in the cabin. i want it to be loud inside the car but also be able to hear it a couple blocks away. would the deadening stop some rattling?
Thats probably because the trunk itself its sealed off from the car. Just deaden the deck, tail light wall, 2 side walls and floor...and why the **** would you want your system to be heard from blocks away? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/rolleyes.gif.c1fef805e9d1464d377451cd5bc18bfb.gifi might add some sound deadening but i have heard of people who add too much and end up sealing in the trunk itself and can't hear much in the cabin. i want it to be loud inside the car but also be able to hear it a couple blocks away. would the deadening stop some rattling?
x2 nice diagram //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif . but to the op , testing will find out everything , but in every car i had ( trunk ) its been much louder imo and sounded better , and scored higher on a mic.. What there saying about the cancellation is about all you need to no.. if you had a hatchback where the subs would be up firing up against the glasss would be a different storylooks good to me, i understood it just fine //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

mine is firing back and its about 6 inches from the back of the trunk..On this topic. According to what i've read here. fireing the sub/ports towards the rear/taillights is best. With that being said. How close/far from the rear should the box/sub/port be from the rear?? I mean should the box sit up against the back seat so the sub/ports are 1-2ft from the rear?? Or all the way back so the sub/ports are 1"-2" from the rear?? Sorry, I just need to find out what will work best. I will however test it out once I build the box, but I figured a heads up would be cool. Thx guys, Vic. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/cool.gif.3bcaf8f141236c00f8044d07150e34f7.gif
Thats weird , cuz ive done alot of testing in my ( now spl car ) 96 grand am gt.. And fireing up made it sound like shiteevry car is different.... my subs are the loudest (1.2db louder) if i fire them into the car with the box as far back as i can get it against the tailight mounts and sounds better also this way...just depends....every car is different...
x2 on firing them up sounding like shite most of the time. Sub and ports to the taillights is the way to go for trunks. Deaden your trunk too. Ghetto rattle sounds like shite and roll down your windows if you absolutely must be obnoxious with your system from two blocks away.Thats weird , cuz ive done alot of testing in my ( now spl car ) 96 grand am gt.. And fireing up made it sound like shite
