Does it matter where you put your passive crossovers?

As in distance from speakers. I ran two sets of wires into both doors so i can go active later when i get a new HU but then i had an idea, can i just put the crossovers in my trunk by the amp? ANd if i can do that will having the crossovers so close to the subs cause damage to them?

the vibration might damage them. other than that you should be fine. I would make the runs of wire equal or close to equal in length though.
