a kid at my school had an ext cab s10 and he put him a "dub" 400 watt amp and a 12" dub in it. the worse part was he didnt have an amp kit he just ran some 20 awg speaker wire for the amp and the box was make out of some old 1/4" plywood that was fallin apart. it lasted a week and then he blew the sub.

its not just kids at schools, it's people who own car stereo shops that consider themselves "HIGH END" shit. The W7 reigns king to them. And they think all these "internet brands" are flea market stuff.

I hate it too, when i mention brands such as RE or anything not mainstream to people that ask me about systems. They actually ask me if the brands are say are bootleg.but i let them hear mine and they were impressed since i only had 1 12" RE SE.

to many people in my school have systems and not even know the name of there amps or subs. and jsut get them b/c they say some BS rating of 2000watts or something.

ok so im a sophmore in high school when people strt talking about systems i allways here stupid cheep brands. and if i mention dd aq cactus tc or treo they always look at me like im dumb. half the time i hear i will just stick to my duel or something stupid like that.and when they ask me what i have i reply aq hd315 and there just reply should of got some explods!! i hate it.

i feel the same way here. my system by FAR is the loudest at any of the near highschools. The next closest is a 10" kicker CVX in a sealed box sitting on the back seat of my buddies tacoma.

every where you go if you pay attention people are ignorant of what works and buy into conventional setups, then usually if you have put together something nice and show it to someone with a "prefab"setup it will gain some respect and consideration. It has definitely been that way through my experience.

oh ya an things like when I'm running my 2 15" Q's with a Sundown @.35 ohms. When people ask what kind of amp...an then "how many watts?". I say well it's a 1500watt amp. They will be like oh well I got 2 2,000 watt amps

And they never believe you when you check the fuses on the amp and its liek 30 amps. and they still cant grasp the concept of ohms law and shit
