Does brand matter?

Yea i am buying the jl audio's from my brother. I am putting them in the trunk of my pt cruiser. But i also plan on getting a 15" sub this summer. What should i do? Should i put it next to the 12"'s or should i stack them or buy a new box for all 3 speakers? I dont know exactly what i want for the 15" because thats not planned out yet, just an idea

Hook up the JLs and see how you like them. If you want to go with something different then sell those and pick up a 15.

you don't. Mixing subs generally leads to cancellation and a shitty sounding substage.

have you even heard the 2 twelves? are just plaining on the 15 for what, bet you could careless about your front stage lol

Yea ive heard the twelves. They're loud but not as loud as i wish they were. I want the 15 to make it louder. So are you guy saying i should just get a 15 of the same brand? Does it matter what model it is?

They are telling you that you do not want to run the 12s and the 15 at the same time......Basically you usually want the same model of subs and the same size paired together.....

Find out what brand the amp is that your bro has.....and find out the model #'s for the amp and the JL subs and post em on here, these guys will be able to help you more

sounds like they would most likely be worth it......even W0's are decent subs for 300bucks with an amp.

You might not like 12's now, but I believe that if you heard a properly set up pair of 12's that you would be surprised....

sounds like maybe you are just now getting into audio or just want a loud system to show off.......you have alot to learn and I wish you good luck

I have been a member of the sd forum for a while and I still don't have alot of posts there just because I like to search and read for my answers. When I joined the SD forum I remember guys getting flamed all the time for repeated questions and VS. posts. I have learned alot from reading guys like you post back and forth.

one reason I never really posted on CA.com much is because guys on here are assholes to each other alot of the time and don't even provide information that is helping anything.......not that sometimes the SD forum isn't the same
