Does baffle thickness matter?

Hey, I Try.
In the case of baffle thickness in an Infinite baffle application. Would it matter if my baffle was like 4in thick. I know wavelengths are super long so that wont be an issue but im more concerned of subs breathing room so to speak, if half the sub is enclosed like that.

 
its only relative to how beefy your sub is to prevent flex.

It wouldn't matter at all if it was 4 inch thick, it wont disrupt anything at all. You wont even gain 1/10 of a db rounding it over i bet you.

It's always leaned that direction. Not sure how cheap you can really get anything done these days. Deadening and custom mounting...

You're not going to know until you test with a meter. Typically even carpeting a box as opposed to painting is going to lose a few tenths.

These are decent budget subs. The box design isn’t bad at 5 cubes for these, but I’d drop it down just a little and raise port tuning up to 32...
