Does anyone make a HU that has the power light lit with the radio off?????

Could be an issue with the wiring from the Honda connector to the Metra harness? My daughter is at school but before sending this back I plan to make sure the illumination lead from the Honda connector (red/black) lines up with the illumination lead for the HU (orange).

Alpines have an option to turn off the faceplate illumination.

Most of the pioneer units I have owned had an option for illumination when off. What I do is hold down the display off button... the unit doesn't truly go off but the screen does and the power button stays lit. (can listen to music without annoying light from the headunit)
