Does anyone know where i can Ground my amp in my 2001 ford ranger?

Look where the back seat is bolted to the chassis. Or, you can just run wire directly from the battery to the amp. It's not the most wire saving method, but it works like a charm.

I cant run anymore wire from the battery. I dont have enough and i dont have anywhere to hide the shit. there is a bolt where the jack is held down, but its made of brass it looks like would that have anything to do with it

sand a spot down and bolt her in. or drill a hole and bolt it to the frame

yeah just pull the carpet up... scrape or sand the paint off... and screw the ring terminal down

I have a 2002 XLT and if you pull off the panels that are right next to the door underneath the dash, there are screws painted green. These are ground screws. This is what I have all my shit grounded on. Just open your door, like between the door and the body and you'll see the rubber gasket where all the wires from the door enter the truck. You should be able to see which panel I am talking about. It is held on by one of those shitty Ford plastic fasteners. Just pull straight out, but try not to break it. The are like $15 a bag for those little ****s.

I would just find a spot nearby where you are mounting the amp that you can run a short screw into without messing anything up and just sand off some paint and be done with it.... simplest way. Where are you putting the amp anyway? Under a seat or...?

I think my way was the easiest because there is no sanding involved.

I finally got it. I was using a bolt for the jack but i didnt realize that there was a plastic piece that held the screw in.LOL. but thanks for all the input
