Does anyone know what has happened to Mark Potts (a.k.a Spkrman)?

I think you missed my second sentence...//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif
indeed, thought he was already looking for a small shop too?

Bills adds up quick //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif. Maybe not needed if he has some baller parents though //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

It just so happens that the places we were looking at include utilities in the rent.

A lot less overhead than some people think. We've discussed this stuff already, and know what the costs involved are. Thus, a small business loan, AT THIS POINT IN TIME, is not necessary.

The ONLY reason mark wants to move into a new building is for more room. /story. (there are some other reasons, but i'd rather not get into those)

It's not going to turn into a car audio/video store where we sell merchandise. At least not any time soon.

I read your entire post......

and my statement is still valid.
Third statement I made was a hypothetical situation that will inevitably happen to anyone with a small business that is trying to grow...

Validity in your statement is something I could care less about, I'm simply implying what needs to be done for anyone who is looking to own and successfully operate a small business.

Like i previously posted, the business plan as of now is to move into a larger building simply to have more space.

Nothing dealing with sales of products is going to change. We will do installs from time to time, but very rarely and only if the customer has all the equipment to install. We are not looking to become an actual "shop" any time soon simply because it's not economically feasible.

The goals as of now are to take care of the customers that are backlogged. As of current, mark has stopped taking orders for any new boxes or ports until he gets caught up with the ones he has now.

If anything changes, a business plan can be drawn up. But for right now, it's a big fat waste of time. Time that needs to be spent on getting caught up.

Smartest thing that I've seen go on with TCAB in a while....//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

A real shop also has more than one person to do a job.
Mark is by himself, but hopefully not for long. I know that the timeframe situation is all f*cked up, but a lot of the boxes are built and delivered in time. Some I know have been early. We just need to make up a system where orders are placed into a chart when they are made so we know which boxes were ordered first.

I hate to see one person only wait 2 weeks for a box while another waits 3 months.

But, as usual, the few people with problems make the situation look much more worse than it actually is sometimes. Not to say there isn't a problem, because there is, but these threads do more harm than good in most cases.
well its his fault of taking on the work of a real shop and portraying himself as a business. Dont make excuses for him, thats the problem no one wants excuses they want their shit or refunds. Who the fuck tells him to accept everyone money? We dont so why is it our problem that he cant live up the the work he accepts payment for? Youre the one who fails to see things not us. If i ran my business like his I'd be living on the street.

He is nowhere near the business of a real shop. He builds boxes and very rarely does installs. I'm talking like MAYBE one install per month. He does no equipment sales or anything like that.

It's nothing but ports and boxes. Lots and lots of boxes.

People just send him money, and as I stated in my post above, he has stopped taking orders since yesterday so he can get caught up with what he still has to do.

The problem with mark is that he gets caught up in other stuff and doesn't realize how much he actually has to do. Once I started talking to him about people complaining to me about boxes, i think he realized just how serious this stuff is.

Thus, he has started to change the way he does things. I am in no way making excuses for him. In fact, i b*tched him out for taking so long to get his shit together.

So take a chill pill, new things are in the works.

hopefuilly it works out.

I don't overly support the boxes but at least if you guys/HIM can deliever product on a timely manner then you are doing what is expected //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

he should've started with a lemmonade stand and then worked his way up to online box builder. with his marketing skills, no one could squeeze the lemons better then him
Then he can boast about building his stand out of birch ply, for the simple fact that he got dogged to hell about using particle board from everyone.
