Does anyone know if when your car is seizure and intended forfetiture from theft....

can I ask what u stole? was it like important to where you worked or just another item like anyone else?
just tools lots of them then sold them online so yea... nothing important just needed some cash to pay for some bills not my car audio stuff though but bills they stop working me over time the 2 months i was stealing from my job was when they stopped letting us work over time for good i was always working 60+ hrs the whole time i was there but then it got cut down to 35 hrs a week so my pay check was really small and i could not afford all my bills coming up i kinda panic.

break into the impound yard, steal your sound equipment back and dont worry about the car and get away before they notice... you have a spare key right?
i have a sprea key but the car is in another count and behind a police station i was thinking about doing it on christmas day though since it would be the best spot but then i remember the time i spent in the count jail which is where the car is behind and i dont want to spend more time in there.... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/furious.gif.fc81ca146dbff91fede3ed290dbc4f4c.gif

i bet the audio in the car in all gone by now lol tow yards love nice systems they tell you it was gone when they got ahold of it lol good luck

Stupidity.

No, I doubt you'll get your car back, or your system back. If (and I stress the if) your system is still in the car and they can show you stole and sold goods, then all your good purchased with money from stolen property could be forfeit, which will include the car, the audio, and possibly more.

You screwed up, which it sounds like you know, now you have to **** it up and face the consequences. Sorry buddy.

If you sold tools online, I'm assuming you used PayPal to get at least some of the money. If you likewise used PayPal to buy some of the audio, don't count on getting it back... it's ill-gotten gains, poisoned fruit.

If I were you, I'd be a helluva lot more worried about going to prison than some stupid stereo equipment.

Does anyone know if when your car is seizure and intended forfetiture form theft if you usally get your car back i know when you get caught with drugs its automatic you lose your vehicle for good but what about for theft it was 2 items for about maybe 800 dollars total. So is it up to the judge really or a amount of money? Anyone have experience with this? Also will you be able to get your personal items including car audio stuff back as well if not the car at least the car audio equipment? I can not seem to find anything online for ppl that have done this.
If it is used in the comission of a felony its gone! Are you being charged with a felony? If not it is being logged as evidence and should be released to you after your case is finalized, assuming it has no link other than transport of the stolen tools. If so they can argue it was purchased with illegal means and seize it. Is there a loan on the car through a bank? this will determine how hard they will pursue taking the car. In the end the bank will get it back. As far as the equipment inside, it will stay with the car. If it has been logged including serials then it was used to determine if your audio gear was stolen as well. On a more practical note, I would be more concerned with the outcome of your pending criminal case, and forget about the car and the gear. And for the sake of your freedom dont even think about removing anything from that car, not even loose change in the ashtray. If you do, and you will be the first suspect. You can count on a tampering with evidence charge along with what you have going on now.

Listen, and listen closely.

If it's over 500 dollars you're probably being charged with a felony, plus if they found in excess of 20,000 in your home. It's a felony, they now own your car, your gear, and to be honest, they own you.

Get a good lawyer and pray for the best, sir.
